I have to admit I had no idea what a battery bank was. I thought at first it was some type of budgeting system.
I was able to get two battery banks from different makers and decided to do a head to head.
Some background for those who like me are a bit behind in technology.
Battery Bank: A battery bank is a handheld system that is able to charge anything that can connect to a USB cord. You do not plug in the battery bank-it is hand held but you do have to recharge it.
A good example- if you are on a plane that does not have any charging stations- you can use a battery bank to charge up your devices.
First Up:
Linkon's Portable Rechargeable Portable Charger
What I liked: The Linkon set up included attachments that fit most phones. There was a mini sd which fit my Galaxy, one that fit my iPhone 6 and other which fit my daughter's iPhone4s. They had a array of cool colors. It was light and fit in the palm of my hand which made it easy to throw in my purse. There was a battery ready which also let you know what % of battery your phone was at. The look and feel was great.
What I didn't like: I didn't feel it charged my phone fast. I had it on all night and only charged about half the battery. The cords, while appreciated, were on the short side. If there was some type of velcro that allowed you to keep the phone and it together that probably would've eased the problematic short cord.

Next Up:
+LifeGuard Portable Charger
What I liked: Something I noticed off the bat was +Lifeguard's bank felt sturdier. It was heavy and just felt like a solid piece of electronic. Very quickly my battery went up in % and also that charge lasted a entire day as it would have if I had charged the old fashion way.
What I didn't like: The only thing I would say would be a 'nice to have' would be for +Lifeguard to have included charging wires. They now include a lightening cable so this would is great for the new buyers.
I liked the idea of knowing the % of battery but if it meant taking away from the great charge I would tell +Lifeguard it is a-ok as is.

Bottom Line: You NEED a battery bank. One thing I am grateful for is seeing how many ways this is a useful tool to have. Example- your car has issues and turns off- your phone is dying your car has no juice. You can use of these portable banks to make sure you can get help. I think both had their own good thing but I would puck +Lifeguard. Using this battery bank didn't only sell me on needing a bank but +Lifeguard as a company. I would feel comfortable purchasing anything from them and feel it would be reliable. There are only a few companies that fit that for me.
